HISTORY

V-Sor,X (pronounced vee-sore-ex) originated in Lichfield, Staffordshire UK where Morgan and Rolls met had started a dubiously titled band called, Ambush Infancy. The band soon changed their name to V-Sor,X and began to gig with a drummer Simon Atkins. There was a short period of inactivity and playing in other bands before they restarted with Rob as keyboard player and Alastair Boyle on drums (a space he held for many years). This has always felt like the true start of the band and it is Morgan, Rolls and Rob that have really defined the band’s sound and direction. Credit and thanks must also go to a number of past members (Alastair Boyle, David Grant, Alex Newton, Jaqueline Hemmings and Tony Joseph).

Where did the name originate from? Morgan and Rolls were looking for a name that would only ever mean one thing – the band. So, a handful of names were conjured up but V-Sor,X was the clear winner. However, in retrospect it may not have been the smoothest choice as it is hard for people to pronounce and works badly in internet searches and file names. Still, it has achieved its initial aim and it is hard to imagine the band with any other name.
